Your Impact

As a Creative Marketing, Social Media Intern, you'll contribute to the voice of Lowe’s across major platforms—helping shape how our brand shows up in real time. You'll work on content planning, trend tracking, copy development, and creative brainstorming that brings our products, purpose, and culture to life. As part of the Brand Marketing team, you'll collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to produce scroll-stopping content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and more.

Summer Internship Program

Our 10-week summer internship program (May 26th – July 31st, 2026) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

Do Your Best Work in Mooresville

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

  • Assist in drafting social media posts, captions, and copy aligned with brand voice and creative strategy.

  • Research social media trends, cultural moments, and competitor activity to inform content development.

  • Support content calendar planning and coordination with internal creative teams.

  • Participate in social content brainstorming and ideation sessions across various formats: video, stories, graphics, and UGC.

  • Monitor platform engagement, assist in reporting performance metrics, and surface learnings for optimization.

  • Collaborate with channel managers and brand partners to support campaigns and promotions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

  • Passion for social media and digital storytelling.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for tone and brevity.

  • Familiarity with platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.

  • Basic understanding of performance metrics (likes, shares, engagement rate, etc.).

  • Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization is a plus.
