We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our team. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in information technology while supporting day-to-day operations. You will work closely with our IT staff to troubleshoot technical issues, assist with projects, and gain practical exposure to a wide range of IT functions.

This paid internship would work 16 hrs. per week; Monday-Thursday. The schedule may be flexible, but preferably 8:30a-12:30p or 1:00p-5:00p.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Support user account management (password resets, permissions, access requests).
  • Help monitor and maintain IT systems, including updates, backups, and security checks.
  • Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and support activities.
  • Assist the IT team on special projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or rollouts.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and track asset usage.
  • Research and recommend improvements to enhance IT processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows environments.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, or other enterprise tools.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity concepts and practices.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.
