The internship will take place June 1st-August 7th 2026. Interns will be scheduled to work 20-30 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. This is an on-site role requiring the ability to work at locations throughout the Greater Charlotte area.

Pay Range

$20.00 - $20.00

This internship offers undergraduate students in Biology or Chemistry the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional research laboratory. Interns will assist with ongoing experiments, learn essential lab techniques, and contribute to data collection and analysis in support of scientific discovery.

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform basic wet lab procedures such as pipetting, solution preparation, and sample handling.
• Assist in maintaining lab equipment and ensuring proper safety protocols.
• Support experimental setups and monitor reactions under supervision.
• Record observations and maintain accurate lab notebooks.
• Participate in data entry, analysis, and interpretation using lab software tools.
• Attend lab meetings and contribute to discussions on research progress.
• Help with literature reviews and background research for ongoing projects.
• Develop proficiency in core laboratory techniques and scientific documentation.
• Understand the research process from hypothesis to data interpretation.
• Gain exposure to experimental design and troubleshooting.
• Build professional relationships with researchers and lab staff.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

• None Required.

Education Required:

• Currently enrolled with a junior or senior status in a Bachelor's program in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Completion of or interest in introductory wet lab coursework (e.g., general chemistry lab, biology lab techniques).

Experience Required:

• No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Current enrollment with junior status at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree
• Grade point average of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
• Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
