Position Overview
The Compliance Intern, International - EMEA has various responsibilities to support the Lead Compliance Program Manager; International in assisting with effective and efficient execution of various components of the Compliance Program for International. This position will report to the Lead Compliance Program Manager, International, and work with Compliance, Legal, Medical, Commercial and Country teams throughout the organizationtomaintain,implement,andcollaborativelycontributetotheComplianceProgramfor International. This role will be responsible for supporting the review of requests regarding interactions with health care professionals and institutions as well as other operational duties, such as fair market value evaluation (FMV) of health care professionals (HCP), venue assessment, and assessing the requirements at country level utilizing the local compliance codes. Assisting in creation and maintenance of metrics for various levels of regulatory compliance monitoring, reporting and governance. In all functions of this role there will need to be strong attention to detail, ability to leverage applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite of products, Tableau, etc., ability to work independently to complete task, and be able to identify areas for process improvement.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:

Maintain regular and reliable attendance (If based in Italy, being able to be present in the Milan office 2 to 3 times a week, schedule to be arranged with manager)

Execute project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
Prepare status reports and modify schedules and plans, as needed.
Focus on continuous improvement, specific to systems-related processes
Assist in creation and maintenance of metrics for various levels of regulatory compliance monitoring, reporting and governance.
Provide metrics and reporting directly as requested
Effectively liaise with functions across the organization to conduct various monitoring activities.
Support in the identification of trends and/or risks based upon data analysis.
The following activities will be conducted as shadowing activity with the purpose of learning :
Execute evaluations of fair market value for health care professionals (HCP) and institutions, leveraging approved algorithm and systems
Review requests made by internal clients for commercial exhibit space, commercial and community-based sponsorships, memberships, and direct HCP interactions (e.g., consultants, speakers, etc.).
The following activities will be conducted under supervision:
Check venues utilizing MedTech’s Conference Vetting system.
Assess requirements at country level utilizing the local compliance codes.
Work with compliance and legal team on procedures and issues.
Support in the preparation of training materials to educate other functions on the relevance of compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent).
Master’s Degree’s (or equivalent) student.
Professional working proficiency in the English language. Working proficiency in other European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.
Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to balance multiple projects and complex tasks, while working independently, and utilizing prioritization to work towards the achievement of projects.
Ability to function productively within a fast-paced, multi-tasking, entrepreneurial environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Ability to work on a designated schedule.
Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in French, Italian or German
Experience providing guidance based on MedTech Europe’s Code of Ethical Business Practice
