Overview of BU/Team:
CFR is the Credit & Fraud strategy management team, we are playing 1LoB role to manage the Credit and Fraud Strategies on the end to end customer life cycle. From new accounts credit risk strategy up to customer management strategies and collection strategies.
The intern will:
Participate in the Credit Risk Management goals at cluster remit, Spain, Netherlands and Nordics.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in a credit risk management internship, candidates should demonstrate a mix of analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and Technical Skills:
Financial Knowledge: A strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis principles, and valuation methods is crucial. The candidate needs to be able to assess a individual's financial health and its ability to repay debt.
Quantitative and Analytical Skills: the candidate should be comfortable working with numbers and large datasets. This includes skills in financial modelling, statistical analysis, and risk assessment.
Data Proficiency: Proficiency in software like Microsoft Excel is essential. Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R and data visualization tools like Tableau is often a significant plus.
Interpersonal Skills:
Communication: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, is vital for presenting analysis and findings.
Attention to Detail: Credit risk analysis requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in calculations and reports. A small error can have a large impact on a risk assessment.
Problem-Solving: The ability to think critically and solve complex problems is key to identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Educational Background
Most interns pursuing this role are working towards a Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. A high GPA and relevant coursework in corporate finance, econometrics, or statistics will strengthen an application.

For Recent Graduate Students:
Alongside your internship you will be enrolled on programme coordinated by Fundación Universidad Empresa (FUE). This programme will allow students to focus on productivity, adaptive management and innovation, to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, collaborating directly on the management and optimization of commercial processes. The student will develop essential skills in project management, data analysis, and negotiation, which are critical for future integration into the labor market.
To enroll the programme, the candidate must have completed the degree or due to submit the final degree project, or the final degree project plus 9 ECTS max.
For Undergraduate Students:
If you are an undergraduate or masters student, you must be in your final year of study and your university will need to agree that you can commit to 35hours per week. Please ensure you check this with your university prior to applying.
