We are looking for a Production Intern to join the Unreal Engine team and support our ongoing efforts to improve workflows, tools, and collaboration across programming, design, and creative teams. As part of the production team, you’ll contribute directly to initiatives that enhance team efficiency and reduce friction in day-to-day operations. You’ll work alongside producers and cross-disciplinary leads to analyze current workflows, identify areas for optimization, and help implement process improvements. You’ll support coordination efforts, maintain tracking systems, and play a key role in enabling smoother communication and planning across teams. If you’re excited about production, operations, and shaping how world-class tools are made, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you will
- Analyze and map existing production workflows to identify inefficiencies. Document and help implement improved processes across teams
- Collaborate on lightweight automation tools (e.g., trackers, scripts, templates) to streamline repetitive tasks
- Assist in pre-production logistics, asset organization, and scheduling. Take on coordination-heavy tasks to enable senior producers to focus on higher-leverage work
- Support producers in reducing reliance on programming leads for routine planning and intake, proactively investigate pain points in our workflows and propose creative and sustainable solutions
- Identify and implement opportunities for AI-driven efficiency gains for production workflows
- Maintain shared tracking systems and centralized documentation. Help manage communication and updates between production, creative, and technical teams
What we're looking for
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills to assess workflows and identify inefficiencies
- Process mapping and documentation abilities for improving cross-team operations
- Familiarity with lightweight automation tools (e.g., scripting, templates, spreadsheets)
- Curiosity and initiative around AI tools and how they can enhance production workflows
- Excellent organizational skills to handle scheduling, asset management, and logistics
- High attention to detail when supporting coordination and maintaining shared systems
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Adaptability and proactivity when taking on new challenges in fast-paced environments
- Team-first mindset with the willingness to take on enabling tasks to support senior producers
- Basic technical fluency to work alongside programming and creative teams effectively
