The Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) team within the F135 High-Pressure Compressor (HPC) Design organization is seeking an engineering intern. This role offers the chance to work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects as part of the F135 HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). Our internship program is designed to help you gain valuable insights into the aerospace industry while learning about our company and its operations.

What You Will Do

  • Developing innovative and technically sound design solutions within program schedule milestones.
  • Analyzing and resolving non-conformances for new and fielded parts.
  • Supporting the creation of serviceable limits for engine part defects.
  • Investigating military engine field incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Assisting with producibility improvement efforts in collaboration with manufacturing vendors.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Presenting and communicating results to customers and program management.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Previous internship or co-op experience
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
  • Experience in NX Unigraphics and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with analysis tools such as ANSYS and Workbench.
  • Experience with engine hardware, engineering drawings, and manufacturing methods is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
