The Role

Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program

Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.

Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.

  • Preference for Central or Mountain time zone.
  • Candidates local to Denver, CO would have opportunity for in-person touchpoints with the team.

Work Authorization: US work authorization required for this role. Individuals requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible.

Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

The Main Responsibilities

The intern will help fundamentally transform the company and change the technology landscape through their work with the Offer Management team. Offer Management (OM) is the strategic process of creating, managing, and optimizing commercial offers to attract and retain customers. It involves aligning pricing, terms, and value propositions with customer needs and business goals. At Lumen, OM plays a pivotal role in deal construction, contract negotiation, and sales enablement.

The OM intern will gain experience reviewing and recommending finance and contract business activities to solve non-standard deal requirements and meet revenue growth objectives. They will learn to negotiate pricing and contract terms with Lumen’s customers through collaboration and partnership with sellers and will play a pivotal role in hitting sales and profitability objectives by providing consultative, strategic, and analytic services to multiple sales teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deal Support & Strategy: Learn how to review, approve or provide alternatives to entry-level OM requests for Sales and Customer Support requests
  • Pricing & Financial Modeling: Review internal pricing models for renewal and acquisition market opportunities including informing capital expenditure decision making
  • Simplify & Modernize: Offer creative alternatives and ideas for areas of process improvement
  • Sales Enablement & Collaboration: Assist in Capital, Renewal and ETL process improvement efforts, attending meetings and utilizing AI to review data to capture trends and outliers

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required qualifications

  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
  • Graduating August 2026 – May 2027
  • Preferred fields include but not limited to: Finance, Economics, Accounting, Sales, or related programs

Proficiency and understanding of:

  • Microsoft tech stack – Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot, SharePoint

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Enjoys collaboration and works well in team environment
  • Comfort interacting with different levels of leadership and presenting solutions
  • Works to think of creative solutions to challenging problems, unafraid to ask questions
  • Ability to multitask while working in fast-paced environment
  • Customer-first mindset
  • Salesforce experience
  • Collegiate leadership and/or extracurricular experience

Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range:
Min: $26/hour
Max:  $38/hour
