Software Engineering Interns will support various functions across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has the ability to see the big picture, understand how technology impacts the entire organization, and possess a passion for consumer-facing digital technology and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:

In the NIKE, Inc. Summer Internship Program, youll contribute to high-priority, real business initiatives that align with the NIKE, Inc. strategic roadmap. This program is designed to immerse you in the dynamic and innovative environment at Nike, where youll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact.

With the guidance of senior leaders and experienced managers, youll take ownership of a project thats been scoped to drive impact within the organization. These projects are intentionally crafted to challenge your critical thinking and problem-solving skills, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting. You'll engage in hands-on work that not only enhances your technical abilities but also fosters effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.

Throughout your internship, youll gain exposure to various aspects of the business, including:

  • High-Level Team: You will be part of the Global Technology team, focusing on enhancing consumer technology experiences. Youll collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to develop solutions that meet the needs of our consumers.

  • Examples of Project Work: Potential projects may include developing innovative consumer applications, optimizing backend systems, or analyzing data to improve digital offerings. You may also participate in brainstorming sessions to ideate new features or enhancements that align with consumer expectations.

  • Conversion Experience: This internship offers potential conversion opportunities into a rotational program or a full-time role, depending on performance and business needs. You'll have the chance to showcase your skills and demonstrate your fit within the Nike culture, paving the way for future career opportunities.

Additionally, you will participate in professional development workshops and networking events designed to enhance your career readiness. These experiences will allow you to connect with like-minded peers and industry professionals, expanding your knowledge and building valuable relationships within the Nike community.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027.

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, information sciences, or a related field.

  • Previous internship(s) in a digital technology organization, marketing/consumer-facing technology organization, operations and logistics team, or enterprise data and analytics team.

  • Prior experience designing and implementing web/mobile applications.

  • Ability to write computer code that is correct, well-tested, and easy to read.

  • Knowledge of one or more computer programming languages like Java, Python, React, Swift, Vue.js, JavaScript, XCode, C#, Android Studio.

  • Knowledge of working in a cloud-based environment (e.g., AWS Lambda, EC2, GCE, DynamoDB, Rackspace, Azure, etc.).
