Job Description Summary

Operating out of MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown, MUSC’s new Internal Medicine Residency Program will offer the Internal Medicine Residency Program Manager the opportunity to develop and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a new/continuing training program. The Residency Program Manager will ensure compliance through the ACGME for the accreditation of the program.

This position will report directly to the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, with a dotted line reporting to the Corporate Graduate Medical Education Office located in Charleston, SC

Job Description

Operating out of MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown, MUSC’s new Internal Medicine Residency Program will offer the Internal Medicine Residency Program Manager the opportunity to develop and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a new/continuing training program. The Residency Program Manager will ensure compliance through the ACGME for the accreditation of the program.

This position will report directly to the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, with a dotted line reporting to the Corporate Graduate Medical Education Office located in Charleston, SC

Directs and manages program design, implementation and daily administrative activities. Interprets policies and rules of programs administered by an agency. Recommends new programs or revisions to existing programs administered by an agency; assesses programs and implements policy, procedure or rule changes. Informs governing board about issues confronting an agency; may advise board about appropriate action to take. Participates in the management decision-making process of an agency. Attends legislative, public and advocacy group hearings presents information for discussion and/or decision-making purposes; responds to requests for information from employees, the public and the media.

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent

Work Experience: 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional
