Internship in Machine Learning Research & Object Detection

Your Role

We are seeking passionate and talented students (f/m/x) who want to make an impact by helping to develop next generation products and innovative machine learning algorithms at ZEISS (medical field). Integrated in a fast-growing team of scientists and research engineers (f/m/x), you will work (for at least 4 months, preferred 6 months, full-time) on helping us to develop core algorithms and taking academic ideas into working prototypes. With us, you have the opportunity to perfectly combine your studies with practical experience while actively contributing to exciting projects. This allows you to gain valuable skills, expand your network, and grow both professionally and personally.

• Literature research & deep dive into the current state-of-the-art world of AI

• Application & implementation of these technologies into a real-world scenario

• Continuous exchange with internal AI experts

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software engineering / data science / applied mathematics with an outstanding study record, and currently enrolled in a master’s program

• Solid understanding of AI, especially Computer Vision and Object Detection

• Previous experience with developing and deploying object detection algorithms in PyTorch, keypoint detection is a plus

• High motivation, creativity, flexibility, and a structured and independent way of working
