We are looking for a Software Developer Intern.This position will be a full-time, fully remote internship. The internship dates are June 1, 2026 to July 31 2026.
This internship is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available during core business hours for the entire 9-week duration of the program. Please note that all work must be performed within the United States. This position does not offer employment sponsorship. All candidates must be eligible to work without need for sponsorship by employer.
What You’ll Do
Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs of low complexity
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
Code and modify applications, from layout to function
Develop new features, enhance, support, and maintain existing applications
Investigate and debug issues, providing solutions after identifying the root cause
Develop and support systems, solutions, components, and enhancements of low complexity
Code new functionality according to specifications
Write testable, efficient code by using software development best practices
Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedure and strategy
Assist in the development of documentation
Collaborate with others to determine design specifications and details
Stay current on new technologies and best practices
Understand and critically evaluate AI-generated code suggestions, ensuring accuracy and rationale behind edits
What You'll Need
Required:
Pursuing a 4 year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related area
Current Junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher
Analytically minded
Experience with various programming languages
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in object-oriented programming techniques
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with relational databases
Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Self-starter
Basic knowledge of Visual Studio Code (VSCode)
Preferred
.NET experience
Experience with SQL
Experience with Visual Studio
Version control and repository branching systems such as Git and GitHub
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
