Join our R&D team as a Spectroscopy & Analytical Chemistry Intern and contribute to innovative research in food ingredient characterization and process monitoring. This internship provides hands-on experience with advanced spectroscopic techniques, supporting the development of cutting-edge solutions in food ingredient technology.

What you will do:

• Performing laboratory tests on food ingredients using both wet chemistry and spectroscopic techniques
• Assisting with data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support research goals
• Conducting literature reviews and summarizing relevant scientific findings
• Collaborating with scientists and cross-functional teams on experimental design and method development
• Documenting procedures and results in lab notebooks and digital databases
• Carry out assignments and review data for accuracy and trends, communicating any concerns
• Seek guidance and feedback from supervisors and team members
• Operate according to standard safety procedures and policies
• Communicating findings and insights to the R&D team

What you will bring:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, with hands-on laboratory research experience.
• Experience and knowledge in spectroscopy techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment
• Interpersonal, verbal and written technical communication skills, e.g. making presentations and writing technical data/reports
• Experience in a laboratory environment strongly preferred
•  Good mathematical skills
• Computer skills with proficiency using MS Word and Excel, and the ability to construct moderately complex graphs and charts
• Good organizational skills and ability to handle large amounts of data
• Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day

Pay Range: $22-34/hour
