Data Engineer

Launch Your Data Engineering Career! Join our team and gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines. You'll learn the fundamentals of ETL processes, data warehousing, software development, working with large datasets, and AI systems. Participate in designing and implementing data solutions, contributing to data quality initiatives, and exploring cutting-edge data technologies. This co-op is your chance to build a strong foundation in a rapidly growing field.

Some things the data team works on: 

  • Learning about real-time and batch pipelines with Python and SQL
  • Software Development, Terraform Deployment for fault-tolerant, scalable systems
  • Root cause analysis of production issues, performance tuning and optimization

Some of the technologies we use on the data engineering team include:

  • GCP, python/SQL, Airflow, Terraform, Looker

Your career experience so far may include:

  • Exposure to data engineering projects and technologies
  • Hands on software development 
  • Previous engineering co-op experience

Security-related Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with Information Security Policies
  • Compliance with League’s secure coding practice
  • Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures
  • Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations

Please note: This is an in-office position at our Toronto HQ from Monday to Thursday. 

CANADA APPLICANTS ONLY: The Canada-specific compensation range below for this full-time position is exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. The salary range is intentional to account for the performance and career progressions a Leaguer will experience in the role throughout their time at League. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range specific to your skills and experience during the hiring process.
