The engineer in this role will:
- Work with a mentor to solve a real-world robotics problem appropriate for the time frame allowed.
- Coordinate with other engineers and technical experts in developing and validating an approach and implementing one or more solutions.
- Working with a multidisciplinary team to develop, debug, and deploy software for controlling physical components comprising robotic applications.
- Documenting the results of test runs and presenting findings to software engineers.
This role will be onsite at the Bedford, MA office. This position will run from approximately Jan. – June 2026 (dates flexible).
Skills/Technical Requirements:
- Candidate must be a full-time student currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience programming in Python
- Experience in computer vision, motion planning, or machine learning
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be curious, eager, open to learning, and independent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Git or some other version control system
- Knowledge of Agile software development practices
- Experience with distributed and parallel computing
- Experience programming in Python and C++
