About the Job

Sanofi is seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous individual to join the DNA Process Development & Supply team. You will focus on execution and scale-up of a robust DNA production process through fermentation, cell lysis extraction, linearization, and purification for preclinical linearized plasmid DNA production, including fermenter characterization, kLa measurement, etc.

  • Evaluate, and implement new biology and purification technology and optimize existing techniques and workflows, including the execution and optimization of plasmid production, problem solving.

  • Execute experiment overseed by Scientist.

  • Work independently, pro-actively, and be an impactful contributor to project teams. Function in highly collaborative cross functional teams.

  • This will be a lab-based position.

About You
Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's in biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028

  • Must have completed both a lecture and a lab course within chemistry/biochemistry with hands on experiment of lab work and good lab behavior.

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship 


​Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.

  • Ability to work in Biosafety Level 1, follow safe lab procedures, and maintain good laboratory practices (GLPs) including detail-oriented laboratory notebook documentation.

  • Works collaboratively within group for improved operational excellence as well as within interdisciplinary teams.

  • Desire to work in a team-first, fast-paced environment, learn new technologies and skills, and to efficiently solve problems.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail & meticulous record keeping.

The salary range for this position is ​$29-$35 hourly​. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through LINK.​
