Candidates must be willing to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

You are an accounting student looking for an internship experience with a truly great organization that could turn into a full time opportunity after graduation. You act with urgency, but balance that with a strong attention to detail. You are accountable, courageous, and innovative. You have the ability to understand complex topics but also keep things simple and articulate what really matters. You are analytical, authentic, adaptable, an energy bringer and focused on positive outcomes. You want to be a part of a great team environment focused on your development and long-term growth. Are you ready to join us?

At Weyerhaeuser, we are an industry leader, with a strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) foundation. We sustainably manage forests and manufacture wood products that make the world a better place. We’re committed to being a leader in climate change solutions and to our company’s core values\: safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability, and inclusion. We are driven to achieve excellence and proud of what we do. Our Accounting department is at the heart of the company, recording, reporting, and analyzing the company’s results. We are focused on developing great leaders and contributors for our team and the rest of Weyerhaeuser, with accounting alumni serving in key roles across the company.

In our Summer 2026 Financial/Managerial Accounting internship program, you will be a key contributor, completing meaningful work that is important to our success.  You will have the opportunity to perform closing activities, analyze financial results, prepare and present working papers with accurate supporting documentation, as well as participate in projects and initiatives.  You will have a direct manager who will provide you with coaching, mentoring and feedback throughout the internship, as well as an accountant peer mentor who will assist in your training, day-to-day tasks, and projects. You will also be able to network with other Weyerhaeuser interns, employees, and leaders and participate in fun team events and volunteer opportunities. The intent of our program is to identify and develop future long-term Weyerhaeuser employees - if your internship is successful, you could receive an offer for a full-time role after graduation.

As a Weyerhaeuser accounting intern, you can expect to\:

  • Put the skills and knowledge you have gained from your education to practice by doing challenging work that matters to both your and Weyerhaeuser’s long-term success, including\:
    • Preparing journal entries
    • Completing account reconciliations
    • Writing and documenting footnotes and other financial reporting disclosures
    • Performing variance analysis
    • Aggregating and interpreting information for internal and external reports
  • Network with and receive insights and coaching from a wide array of individuals, including senior company leaders, in our Internship Spotlight series, which will introduce you to everything our company does from operations to sustainability to personal development
  • Act as a fresh set of eyes to help us innovate and achieve our Operational Excellence goals (Operational Excellence is our term for process improvement, a key and constant focus at Weyerhaeuser)
  • Gain practical experience and exposure to important software, such as SAP, Power BI, Power Pivot, and Office
  • Visit operations to see how our products are grown, produced, and sold (subject to site availability)
  • Discover how an accounting background can lead to a long-term successful career at Weyerhaeuser, whether that is in the accounting department, our broader finance organization, or numerous other areas of our company
