En tant que stagiaire en ingénierie photonique, vous serez impliqué dans mise en œuvre de banc de mesure, la configuration d’instruments spécialisés, la prise de mesures et l’analyse de ces mêmes mesures.

Faisant partie d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire, vous devrez collaborer avec des chercheurs, ingénieurs et technologues sur une base régulière. Cette position requiert de l’autonomie, une capacité d’adaptation aux situations changeantes, un désir pour l’innovation et la capacité de solutionner des problèmes complexes.

Principales tâches et responsabilités

  • o Mesures

  • o Analyse de données avec Matlab

  • o Révision de documentation

  • o Recherche de littérature sur des sujets de pointes

  • o Écriture de court rapport

Qualifications requises

  • · En cours d’étude de baccalauréat en ingénierie électrique/physique ou au baccalauréat en physique

  • · Connaissance de MatLab est un atout

  • · Connaissance de base en optique ou optique intégré

  • · Connaissance de base en radio-fréquences

  • · Aptitude au travail d’équipe et à la communication

  • · Maitrise des langues française et anglaise à l’écrit et à l’oral

Photonic Engineering Intern

Acting as a coop/intern in photonic engineering, you will be involved in the making of instrument setup, configuring such instruments, acquiring data and analysing data.

Part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have to collaborate with scientists and other disciplines of engineering on a regular basis. This position requires autonomy, adaptability and a strong desire for innovation and problem-solving skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Intern will provide support:

  • o Measurements

  • o Data analysis using Matlab

  • o Review documentation

  • o Research literature on leading edge topics

  • o Write brief reports

The Must Haves

  • · Currently enrolled in electrical/physic engineering degree or physic degree

  • · Knowledge of Matlab is a plus

  • · Basic knowledge of optic theory and integrated optics

  • · Basic knowledge of radio-frequency principles

  • · Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • · Excellent mastery of French and/or English both written and oral

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
