Qorvo’s RFIC Design Engineering Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Contributing to the design of multiple functional blocks including millimeter-wave (mmW) LNAs, PAs, Phase Shifters, Attenuators, Switches, Supporting Analog and Interface circuitry in state of the art CMOS and RFSOI technologies
  • Active device and electromagnetic modeling for high-frequency designs
  • Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, power dissipation and schedule
  • Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
  • Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/mmW IC design
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3
  • RF/mmW circuit design coursework and/or experience
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and ADE Simulation Environment
  • Tape-out experience is a plus
  • Software exposure: ADS, HFSS, EMX
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-Starter with good communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
  • Ability to enjoy working in fast paced work environment

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr-$42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo.
