About the Role:
The Hospitality team is truly the face of Baird. Those who walk in our doors can be assured they will have a professional and unforgettable experience, and that starts with Hospitality. The Hospitality team works together to cover various client-facing reception locations throughout our corporate headquarters, as well as organize and execute nearly 8,000 meetings and events annually. They are responsible for greeting guests and callers and directing them in a helpful, friendly and professional manner. At Baird, clients come first, and the Hospitality team sets the bar for how they should be treated.
This internship requires working full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office. We are seeking a student who can start in May 2026.
The Impact You’ll Make:
Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients in person and over the phone
Assist with meeting and event planning and execution, ensuring smooth operations and flawless meetings and events and accommodating the needs of the meeting organizer and attendees
Complete projects including managing expenses, email campaigns, ordering materials and supplies and other team projects as assigned
Gain insight into how Baird operates internally and externally, learn about the businesses and network with associates and clients alike
Crosstrain with other roles and teams within the department and support these areas with project work and/or staffing, as appropriate
What You’ll Bring to Baird:
Pursuing a degree in hospitality management, event management, marketing, communications, business or related degree
Anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later
Hospitality Industry experience is strongly preferred
Passion for making others feel welcomed, comfortable and tended to through high-touch, excellent customer service
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect clearly and professionally with clients and associates
Organizational excellence, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure high-quality and on-time delivery
High level of motivation, proactivity and strategic thinking, with a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience with graphic design, marketing, content creation and editing for promotional materials, such as Canva, is a plus
Prior experience in an office setting is preferred
