This position is located in Eastman Business Park within the Industrial Films and Chemicals Division. The principal responsibility for this co-op role is to support engineering projects and day-to-day activities across various film and chemical manufacturing processes. The co-op will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and engineering design.

Responsibilities:
•    Assist in creating 3D CAD models of parts for reverse engineering and 3D printing applications.
•    Support various controls projects, including troubleshooting and obsolescence upgrades.
•    Participate in projects involving process improvements, equipment reliability, and automation enhancements.
•    Collaborate with engineers and skilled trades personnel on multi-generational equipment and systems.
•    Assist in technical support for operations and maintenance activities.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
•    Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs and ladder logic. (Plus, but not required)
•    Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
•    Interest in automation, mechatronics, and process control systems.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:
•    Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
•    Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Strong work ethic, integrity, and motivation to learn.
