About the Internship

Approximate Service Dates: May 2026 – September 2026

Internships are available in the following departments:

-Rooms Department

-Food and Beverage Department

-Residences Department

Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Eight-to-Ten hour shifts – scheduled days and times may vary based on need

Rooms Internship

Basic Purpose:Support team members and leaders in the daily operation of the Housekeeping and Guest Services departments.

What you will do

  • Answer telephones and communicate with guests and employees alike in a professional and timely manner 

  • Operate several computer systems at once to field guest requests, communicate with team members, etc.  

  • Demonstrate knowledge of various services and offerings to guests to make their stay more comfortable

  • Create a strong sense of arrival for hotel, residential, restaurant and banquet guests by welcoming guests as they arrive to the hotel, unloading guests’ luggage, and providing guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city

  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism; assist guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, etc.

Food and Beverage Internship

Basic Purpose: Provide guests at Riva Restaurant and Pool with exceptional dining and poolside service and support the members and leaders of the Riva team in the daily F&B operation.

What you will do

  • Provide guests with food and beverage, water, and oshibori service, spritzing, towels and assistance with seating arrangements at the pool and surrounding areas

  • Respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction

  • Pick-up and deliver towels/towel bins to and from the laundry and towel stands

  • Maintain the Pool and seating areas in an orderly and clean manner

  • Use the hotel computer systems and phone system effectively

  • Assist in the role of Server, Server Assistant, and Host/ess as needed

Residences Internship

Basic Purpose: Operating from the Residential Lobby, respond to a wide variety of homeowner requests by accurately assessing the resident’s needs and inquiries; offer personal recommendations and personalized touches to achieve maximum resident satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

What you will do

  • Handle all resident interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism – accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolve resident complaints; assist residents in all inquiries in connection with residence/hotel/resort services, hours of operations, key residence/hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Respond to all resident requests in an accurate and timely manner making recommendations based on local knowledge and residence practices.  

  • Process packages, faxes, messages, and mail which may be either outgoing or incoming in an accurate and timely manner; stores and retrieves resident packages, groceries, luggage, dry cleaning and flowers. Coordinate with Valet parking staff the retrieval of resident’s vehicles. 

  • Manageand provide access to the building(s) and units with all vendor/contractor/homeowners’ service providers and visitors, after previous authorization received, assist with vendor/contractor scheduling, verifyidentity and provide appropriate residence access for vendor/contractors and homeowners’ service providers. Control entry doors and elevator/lift access. 

  • Ensure that collateral and information for vendors, restaurants, museums, attractions, maps, and other local attractions are updated and current. Is knowledgeable about what activities are available in the local vicinity (theatre, sports, concerts, shows, special exhibits, sightseeing) and establish close relationships with vendors in these areas in order to provide information, transportation, ticketing, and reservations for residents.

Application requirements

  • Applicants are required to upload a resume and supplemental statement with their application. The supplemental statement should tell us about the Department(s) the applicant would like to intern in and why (one paragraph max.) 

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate school

What you bring

  • A minimum three months of experience in hospitality or related industry 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language

  • Ability to operate computer equipment and systems

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and desire to be the best!
