The Product Development Intern will support the e.l.f. Cosmetics Product Development team in driving innovation and bringing new products to life. This role will contribute to brief creation, concept brainstorming, and organization of samples while ensuring smooth cross-functional support for upcoming launches. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about beauty and product innovation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with creation of briefs and brainstorming new product concepts across color cosmetics and skincare
- Organize, label, and manage product samples, while collecting team feedback for refinement
- Support product shipping needs (domestic and international)
- Assist with sample preparation and distribution for retailer and internal meetings
- Maintain the physical product sample library and ensure accuracy of records
- Track, review, and help evaluate formulas in partnership with the team
- Conduct research on emerging beauty trends, consumer insights, and ingredient innovations
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Senior year or Recently graduated, with a degree in business, marketing, cosmetic science, or related field
- Prior internship experience in product development, innovation, or marketing preferred; beauty industry experience (mass or prestige) a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for color cosmetics, skincare, and the beauty industry
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
