Hourly base pay rate is $21.49 - $32.26/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

The Tax Technology Intern will be an integral part of the CEI Tax Department (50+ people), collaborating closely with the Tax & Technology teams to support and improve tax processes through technology. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced tax professionals and gain hands-on experience in tax technology within a leading corporate tax department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tax technology solutions
  • Build data automations and visualizations with Microsoft Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI, and other Power Platform suite of tools
  • Support the integration of AI technologies
  • Collaborate with the tax team to document business requirements for tax technology projects
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support tax initiatives
  • Support and maintain SharePoint sites and libraries.
  • Participate in the optimization and improvement of existing SQL scripts and queries
  • Assist in the preparation of process documentation and user guides for tax technology tools
  • Collaborate with team members on ad hoc tax technology projects

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Computer Science, Data Science & Analytics, or Information Systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a team environment in-person and virtually
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the department's technology initiatives

Requirements:

  • Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science & Analytics, or Information Systems
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated interest in technology and process improvement
