Magnetics Intern

Salary Range: 27 to 32 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-hour-wage)

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working with researchers to model magnetic fields in Ansys.
• You will work in a research lab environment to characterize the performance of magnetic systems.
• You will assist research teams in their daily activities.
• You will be responsible for providing documentation of your work throughout the summer.
• Work on a project that culminates in a presentation to leaders in the organization.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
• Graduating on or after 2026
• 2+ years of laboratory experience
• Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status 
• Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.  

WE VALUE:

• 2+ years of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Physics, Engineering Physics, or a related major
• Experience modeling physical systems with Ansys
• Experience comparing models to experiment
• Lab experience working with magnetic materials
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent demonstrated organizational skills
