Workday is looking for motivated and passionate colleagues to join our Brand Design Team.

As part of this program, you will learn how to increase your skill set with product and customer-centric messaging skills while leveraging your graphic design skills.

About the Role

Workday is seeking a passionate and creative Brand Intern to join our dynamic Brand Strategy and Expression team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student eager to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of brand. The intern will play a supporting role in the development and execution of brand programs, competitive and agency audits, and design systems. This internship offers a valuable learning experience in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to contribute to real-world projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Design Support 

  • Designing graphics for internal and external programs and campaigns

  • Document and presentation layout and design

  • Design production (updating, resizing, optimizing assets and templates)

  • Developing new design assets (icons, graphics, and templates)

  • Brand libraries and resources optimization

2. Program & Resource Management

  • Creative Workflow Support: Help manage the intake of brand and creative requests, assisting with initial reviews for things like merchandise.

  • Documentation Improvement: Analyze brand queries, and help identify and implement efficiencies.

3. Brand Governance & Audits

  • Conduct audits across the organization to ensure consistent and correct use of our brand’s visual identity (logos, colors, etc.) and voice.

  • Perform reviews of creative work produced in self-service design platforms (e.g., Adobe Express) to ensure brand alignment.

4. Strategic & Educational Support

  • Help create Brand educational materials (AI tools, best practices for brand, layout, photography treatment)

  • Investigate and report on how new technologies, including AI, can be leveraged to support brand management and creative development.

  • Research how other companies are evolving and managing their brands in the current market situation

  • Market & Competitive Research: Research and present on current brand trends and competitive activities to help inform our own brand strategy.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with an anticipated graduation date no earlier than December 2026

  • You can commit to a full-time internship program for 12-weeks during the summer of 2026 and will return to university studies after the conclusion of the internship

  • You are pursuing a major in Design 

  • Have basic knowledge of Adobe programs, Microsoft office tools and Google docs, slides, sheets

  • Prior internship, coursework, or relevant project experience

Other Qualifications

  • Experience using Adobe programs, Microsoft office tools and Google docs, slides, sheets

  • Passionate about how innovative technologies can transform the HCM and finance function.

  • A strong strategic, creative problem solver, with technical and analytical expertise

  • Able to think strategically and act very tactically

  • Passionate about design and brand programs

  • Strong communicator using verbal, written, visual/presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
