In this role, you will build playbooks and executive decks, define and refine tech strategy aligned with company goals, and develop AI agents that streamline our operations. The ideal candidate is a strategy-centric operator with a strong understanding of enterprise processes and metrics, familiarity with AI agents, and the skill set to build lightweight agents where they add clear value. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems function efficiently.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Define and refine the tech strategy and operating model; produce executive decks, playbooks, KPI trees, and governance templates tied to OKRs.
- AI: Identify high-value automation and agent opportunities; own context engineering—system prompts, grounding sources, guardrails, and evaluation approach.
- First principles: Decompose problems to fundamentals, size value clearly (time saved, cost impact), and run tight pilots with measurable outcomes.
- Adoption: Drive stakeholder alignment, training, and feedback loops; codify standards so wins become repeatable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field(s) of study: Strategy, Computer Science, and Economics or a related field
- Currently enrolled in a MBA, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
- Strategy: Exceptional executive storytelling; turns ambiguity into crisp recommendations, capability maps, RACI, and KPI frameworks.
- First principles: Strong analytical thinking; MECE structure and clear value modeling in Sheets/Excel.
- Efficiency: Relentless focus on reducing cycle time with simple, scalable solutions.
- Build: Comfortable stitching connectors/APIs and writing system prompts; basic scripting for quick demos is a plus.
- AI: In-depth knowledge of LLMs and where they fit; recognizes that one size does not fit all.
Other:
- Location: This position is in Newark, California. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment.
- Availability: Full-time is preferred
- Anticipated Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Work Environment: Office

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
