A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Software Engineering Intern at MKS Power Solutions, you will develop and port code for a next generation controller platform. In this role, you will report to the Software Development Manager responsible for this project. This co-op will run from January to August of 2026.
You Will Make an Impact By:
* Working with team developing the next generator platform for RF and DC Power Generators
* Port application code from older platform to newer platform using c++
* Port firmware code from older platform to newer platform using vivado ip integrator, matlab simulink/hdl coder and VHDL
* Port Web design code from older platform to newer platform using node.js
Working with python and bash scripting languages
• Travel Requirements: Up to 0 % of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:
• Current 3rd or 4th Year Engineering Student
• Familiarity with C++ programming language
• Familiarity with VHDL
• Familiarity with Matlab
• Familiarity with Python
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
• Familiarity with node.js
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
The application period for the intern/co-op position is estimated to be through the end of October 2025; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates
