About this Role
Carrier's hands-on summer internship offers participants the opportunity to explore a career in Sales Engineering. As a Sales Engineer Intern, you will:
Work directly with our industry-leading Sales Professionals and customers.
Understand the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, including HVAC equipment and building management controls.
Be exposed to various facets of Carrier’s businesses: Service, Equipment, Building Automation, Application, Fulfillment, and more.
Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls, and customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors.
Understand and participate in the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job.
Appreciate the importance of customer relationships as you work with them as a daily point-of-contact, creating a sense of ownership and importance in the solution-making process.
Participate in a structured program that will challenge and develop your technical, business, sales, leadership, and communication skills.
This internship gives insight into a sales engineering career with Carrier and the potential opportunity to join the Sales Engineer Training (SET) program upon graduation.
Basic Qualifications:
· Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering.
· GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
· Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
· Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with the ability to provide proof of insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
· Self-driven and proactive
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
· Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects
