Cencora’s IT Operations team in Carrollton, TX, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to join our team as an Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced IT environment. As an intern, you will assist with various aspects of IT operations, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and support of critical infrastructure and applications.

This internship is designed to provide exposure to enterprise-level IT operations and give you the tools to jumpstart your career in technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Monitoring & Support: Assist in monitoring IT systems, servers, and networks for performance and reliability, escalating issues as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
  • Automation Assistance: Support the development of automated processes to improve team efficiency using tools like PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Incident Management: Track and respond to incidents, ensuring timely resolution and proper communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, help desk, and infrastructure teams, to support IT operations.
  • Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical skills and understanding of IT processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and troubleshooting; familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Initiative: A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Preferred Experience: Exposure to scripting, automation tools, or IT monitoring systems is a plus.
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the US, now or in the future
