Summary:
The Test Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting with the testing, integration, and debugging of NAI products and systems. Working closely with the test engineering team, the intern will gain exposure to circuit analysis, test equipment, and troubleshooting techniques. This practical experience provides the intern with the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions that are important to both their professional growth and NAI’s business success.
This Internship is for Summer 2026.
Requirements
- Assist with the development and improvement of test programs to verify functional operation of NAI products.
- Support testing and debugging activities at the component and system level using circuit analysis techniques.
- Implement test procedures and learn to operate industry-standard test equipment.
- Work with production personnel to assist in diagnosis and repair of failed items.
- Participate in documenting test results and reporting findings to engineers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by observing and suggesting refinements to testing processes.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Enrolled in an accredited Electrical or Computer Engineering program, or related field.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuits, including data sheets and component specifications.
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or C#.
- Familiarity with general-purpose test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, or serial.
- Exposure to Linux environments.
- Self-motivated with curiosity and desire to learn new technologies.
Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.
This is a paid Internship. Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
