Job Description:
AriensCo is on the hunt for a self-starting, motivated Engineer at our Brillion, WI location! This is the perfect opportunity to enhance your education with practical, hands-on experience and prepare you for your future.
THE DAY TO DAY…
Support engineering staff(s) by performing basic engineering assignments in the design and development of outdoor power products
This can involve participation with planning, technology research, materials engineering, functional design, prototyping, product /component testing, etc.
Observe and learn manufacturing capabilities to permit Design for Manufacturability (DFMA)
YOU WILL GAIN EXPERIENCE IN…
Component and subsystem design and analysis
Concept development, evaluation, and testing
SolidWorks or SolidWorks Electrical
Design presentations and reports
Microsoft Office
Bills of material and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
Outdoor power equipment
YOU WILL BE EXPOSED TO…
The product development process and manufacturing principles
Analysis techniques
Design reviews
Fabrication processes including welding, brake press metal forming, laser cutting, machining, stamping, powder painting, and more
Final assembly processes
Access to a research and development model making facility and testing department
Hands-on opportunities to prototype and test designs
Advanced technology development including electrification and automation
THE QUALIFICATIONS…
Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited university studying toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics or similar OR an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design Technology or similar
Should be mechanically inclined and have an interest in new product development, outdoor power equipment, and manufacturing
Prior experience with extracurricular engineering projects preferred
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience preferred
Simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink, FEA, CFD) experience preferred
