Job Title: Test Automation Internship
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join our Test Automation team as an intern. In this hybrid role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of our technology operations, including maturing Quality Engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze testing metrics
- Help squads build and mature test automation suites
- Investigate new capabilities and tooling
Technical Skills:
- Programming/Scripting: Basic proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, etc
- Automation Tools/Frameworks: Familiarity with common automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, Tosca or TestNG.
- Version Control: Basic understanding and experience with version control systems like Bitbucket and GitHub.
- Testing Concepts: Knowledge of software testing fundamentals, including different types of testing (functional, regression, performance), test case design, and defect reporting.
- SDLC/Agile: Awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience or exposure to Agile methodologies.
- Database Knowledge (Optional but beneficial): Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and test setup.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in identifying bugs and ensuring test accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems, devise solutions, and adapt to challenges.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document findings.
- Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving testing practices.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
