About the job 

As a Process Engineering Intern, you will be part of a highly focused and integrated engineering team supporting the manufacturing and packaging of commercial pharmaceutical products. You will gain hands-on experience in a Controlled Not Classified (CNC) environment, contributing to process engineering activities, validation tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will support the production of Auto Injectors and Lyo vials, as well as the technology transfer of new products. You will also collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and equipment maintenance.

The Product Supply APU is currently expanding and includes multiple platforms for the inspection, assembly, labelling, and cartoning of autoinjectors and prefilled syringes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your engineering skills in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards at all times

  • Provide technical support for process and equipment issues

  • Drive process and product improvements

  • Support qualification and validation of new products and processes

  • Analyse machine performance and production data

  • Manage improvement projects within defined scope, budget, and timelines

  • Contribute to new product introductions and capacity expansions

  • Assist with maintenance planning and design changes

  • Execute change controls and support OEE and yield improvements

About you   

To excel in this role, you will need to:

  • Be currently enrolled in the penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate (Master’s) program, with an expected graduation date in 2027

  • Be pursuing a degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics)

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in engineering and manufacturing processes

  • Have solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Communicate effectively and work well within cross-functional teams

  • Show initiative and ownership in delivering tasks and contributing to projects

  • Be comfortable working in a regulated, safety-conscious environment
