The rate offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Hourly Rate:
$23 - $27/hr.Role Overview:
Design, develop, test and evaluate integrated service solutions for managing repair and refurbishment processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination.
This role will spend time at both our Global Headquarters and a manufacturing site both located in Neenah, WI. This role requires the ability to travel between these facilities to complete the job duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide lean service operations solutions for the service of customer return assemblies and products.
Support Short & Long range capacity planning that considers, resources, materials consumption and space utilization
Study operations sequence, material flow, and project information to optimize Service operations.
Create a Value Stream map of an existing key process to visualize and improve each selected process by analyzing the flow of materials and information required to service the product from start to finish. Create supporting flowcharts that identify value-added versus non-value-added steps to eliminate waste and inefficiencies, ultimately increasing customer value and operational efficiency.
Create a future state Value Stream map that represents the change in value-added versus non-value-added steps, draft and design a layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to support the VSA, using drafting tools and computer.
Analyze production data (cycle times, flow) to identify inefficiencies.
Generate performance reports and visualizations pre and post VSM.
Execute your ideas and solutions with engineers and production staff through influential leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering for the entire duration of internship.
Experience in AutoCAD or Draftsite
Experience in Google Applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Sophomore or Junior level status
GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
