Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate student in their final year of a Master's degree program to join our team for a Curricular Internship Opportunity. As an intern, you will explore the development of Generative AI systems to ensure the functional safety of Automotive software.

The goal of this internship is to assess the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT and Gemini, in detecting and correcting functional safety faults in the source code/configuration of automotive software and compare their performance against traditional algorithmic implementations.

You will…

  • Use/Train AI models (such as ChatGPT and Gemini) to detect and correct functional safety faults in automotive software.
  • Learn about ISO 26262, the leading standard for ensuring safety of automotive systems.
  • Work together with experienced software developers, that will mentor and guide you in your journey.
  • Have the opportunity for potential full-time employment upon successful completion of the internship.

Qualifications

Key qualifications

  • Enrolled in the final year of a university master’s degree program, preferably in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with C and Python software development.
  • Strong interest in Generative AI and how it can augment traditional software development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good English B2/C1 and Italian B2/C1 communications skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with popular GenAI APIs for ChatGPT or Gemini (showing a live demo of what you already developed would be a plus!).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems, such as Jenkins.
