If you are a Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as a Manufacturing Intern!  Based in our Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie MN location, as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op (Jan26-May26) you will work within a team that provides support and development of solutions for our manufacturing production operations to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost position.  This individual will work closely with the team and other functional groups to deploy solutions to better serve our internal and external customers.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Apply technical expertise in the production of products. 
  • Select, design or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and cost.
  • Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs.
  • Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
  • Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews.
  • Interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers.
  • Participate in the administration of technical procedures.
  • Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
  • Support capacity model and lean initiatives. May participate in lean six sigma improvement teams.
  • May interact with teammates in numerous global locations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School (students of any class status will be considered) 
  • Zero (0) years of related experience 
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN) 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $25.00- 27.00 hourly, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
