Actuary Intern P&C

With the actuary internship, you will work with a mentor to learn how actuaries play a vital role in the company’s success. You will also get opportunities to network by attending diverse social events and meeting leadership in multiple areas.

What You’ll Do

Actuary interns are given the opportunity to learn the basics of actuarial functions through exposure to a broad range of insurance products and actuarial methodologies in addition to participating in project work that takes place throughout the internship.

Our Actuary Internship offers opportunities to:

• Compile and categorize data

• Complete assignments which pertain to monitoring rate adequacy

• Manage corporate insurance risks

• Perform basic statistical analysis

• Evaluate loss and expense reserves 

• Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies

What it Takes

To be considered for this position, the following criteria are necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, or Statistics

• At least one actuarial exam complete is preferred

• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.0

• Graduating from December 2026- May 2028

• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
