Ankura’s Data & Technology Practice offers a full-service suite of data-driven strategies and solutions for clients, regardless of industry or size. We help clients transform data into insight, leverage the power of digital technology, and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
Role Overview:
Our Privacy practice is a rapidly growing part of the Data & Technology segment of our business. Our professionals help our clients address their data privacy challenges, including conducting privacy risk assessments, creating policies and procedures, building data inventories, reviewing and interpreting regulatory changes, developing consumer response processes, implementing technology and assisting organizations through privacy related regulatory investigations. The preference is for this role to be based out of our New York, Washington DC, or Chicago offices.
Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day activities of engagements including interaction with other team members, subject matter experts, and client contacts.
Support all facets of client engagements, including work stream supervision, client interaction, and billing.
Generate consistent and thorough documentation to support processes executed throughout the project lifecycle. Specific tasks may include writing up interview notes, drafting emails, creating memorandum or reports that demonstrate specific processes followed, and developing project status summaries and/or reports and metrics.
Manage time and tasks to meet internal and external deadlines.
Provide input into client communications, both written and oral, throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company.
Qualifications:
Seeking undergraduate degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Information Management, Systems Engineer, Computer Science, or similar areas, with expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
Experience and basic understanding of programming languages to include Python, Bash, JavaScript, SQL, C#, HTML, and CSS.
Some relevant experience or exposure in data privacy, compliance, or legal area is a plus.
Team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and motivation to succeed.
Ability to deliver solution strategies and implementations to clients.
Strong risk management and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail, possessing problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical reasoning skills.
Exceptional organizational skills, to include detailed note taking abilities.
Ability to manage time and tasks around intense deadlines for clients.
Ability to interact confidently with senior management, C-suite, and lawyers/partners.
Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
Demonstrate a strong object-oriented approach and a foundational grasp of full stack development, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient data operations.
Knowledge of various internet protocol layers, emphasizing a holistic view of network security and performance.
Interest in working towards a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is a plus.
Foundational skills in object-oriented programming, including an understanding of networking and internet protocols (HTTP, TCP, UDP).

Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current payrate for this internship is: $34/hr.
