Key Roles and Duties
- Support high-impact business initiatives by contributing to meaningful projects that directly support business objectives and client outcomes
- Collaborate on strategic presentations and research projects, contributing to PowerPoint and Excel deliverables and analytical materials that inform key business decision-making
- Support a variety of projects by helping to coordinate project materials and meetings to ensure seamless information flow across teams
- Drive independent research initiatives to gather market intelligence, competitive analysis, and supporting documentation that advances business objectives

Educational Requirements:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The 10-week summer internship program is designed to challenge students by providing opportunities to provide hand-on experiences, skills training and valuable professional networking to assist students with identifying and building on their career interests. This role gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the Nuveen businesses.
We are seeking a motivated and analytically minded intern to join our Clean Energy Infrastructure team for the summer of 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience in the rapidly growing clean technology sector, providing exposure to investment analysis, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making in renewable energy and clean infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Clean Energy Infrastructure Intern will support our team across multiple critical functions:
Investment Analysis & Modeling
Produce comprehensive financial models and valuations for clean energy investment opportunities
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support investment decision-making processes
Due Diligence & Execution
Assist with due diligence activities for potential investment opportunities
Support the execution phase of investment transactions
Contribute to investment documentation and analysis
Portfolio Management
Provide support for asset management activities across our existing clean energy portfolio
Monitor portfolio performance and assist with ongoing asset optimization
Market Research & Analysis
Track and analyze macro-economic trends within the clean technology sector
Research market developments and their potential impact on investment opportunities
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Strong financial modeling expertise with demonstratedproficiency
Comprehensive financial toolkit including advanced Excel skills
Experience analyzing financial statements and performing company valuations
Solid understanding of corporate finance principles
Professional Qualities:
Strategic thinking approach with sound business judgment
Strong entrepreneurial mindset and initiative
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the power industry and renewable energy sector
Previous experience with clean technology or infrastructure investments
Understanding of energy markets and regulatory environments

Anticipated Posting End Date:
2025-10-13Base Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $30.00/hrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
