Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work with executives.

Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated MBA student for a summer internship within the Corporate Development team. The intern will support high-impact projects in corporate M&A and strategic planning. This role offers hands-on experience in financial analysis, market research, and strategic decision-making in a dynamic, global environment.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis for M&A and investment opportunities.
  • Support due diligence efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare internal presentations and investment materials for executive leadership.
  • Track market trends and maintain databases of potential acquisition targets.
  • Compile a list of high-momentum startups in the semiconductor industry using Pitchbook, focusing on recent capital raises and strategic relevance.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts, including market entry, revenue growth, and capital investment strategies.
  • Develop clear, data-driven arguments for or against business opportunities.
  • Help establish and improve project management processes and methodologies.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Actively pursuing an MBA in Strategy, Economics, Business, Finance, Consulting or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship and set to graduate in Spring/Summer of 2026.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or project experience in investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Experience using Pitchbook or similar financial databases.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and strategic planning frameworks
