The Opportunity:

As a Project Coordinator Intern, you will support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure and consulting projects. This role is ideal for students pursuing a career in project management, engineering, or business operations who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will regularly accompany the Project Manager to project sites to gain practical exposure to on-site activities.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation including schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and presentations.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, track action items, and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Support project budgeting, invoicing, and procurement processes.
  • Monitor project progress and update project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel).
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely communication and task execution.
  • Help ensure compliance with internal quality assurance and document control standards.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the implementation of project delivery frameworks.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
