Qorvo’s PA/Module Design Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Design, validate, and release RF components to high-volume manufacturing (HVM) that meet/exceed customer, marketing, and industry benchmark requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure product integrity such as ESD/mechanical/thermal requirements, manufacturing/test yield targets, and quality/reliability metrics
- Synthesize analog and RF circuits that meet all performance specifications while balancing size, cost, and time-to-market
- Generate product build documentation to manufacture prototypes for evaluation
- Validate analog and RF circuit performance using industry standard simulation tools and measurement equipment
- Analyze performance data to drive improvements for compliance and high yield
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate progress/results to stakeholders
- Opportunity to:
- Design/layout analog and RF circuits at a Die/Transistor and Laminate/SMD level
- Simulate and analyze circuit performance with industry leading simulation tools from Ansys, Cadence, and Keysight
- Characterize and validate measured performance with industry leading lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum/network analyzers, and power meters
- Analyze performance data (measured vs. modeled) in tools such as Excel and Spotfire
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed course and lab work in RF/Microwave Design or Analog Integrated Circuit Design; Prior internship or coop designing or testing analog/RF circuits preferred
- Familiarity with analog/RF simulation tools such as ADS and Cadence
- Familiarity with RF measurement equipment and techniques such as modulated/CW signal generators, spectrum analyzers for ACLR/EVM, network analyzers for S-Parameters, and power meters
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams)
- Effective organizational skills to plan your work and work your plan
- Systematic, critical thinking skills to frame and solve complex problems
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure design integrity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
