As an Automation Intern, you won’t just observe, you’ll contribute meaningfully to real-world projects that support the design and construction of advanced facilities for clients in the life sciences and food & beverage industries. Responsibilities
- Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
- Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
- Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
- Strong interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industries
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, contractors)
- Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications
- Willingness to relocate or work in one of CRB’s internship locations, which may include:
Kansas City (MO), Raleigh (NC), Orange County (CA), Philadelphia (PA), St. Louis (MO), Boston (MA), San Diego (CA), Kalamazoo (MI), Denver (CO), and/or Rockville (MD)
Preferred Qualifications
- Working towards Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred
- Familiarity with Engineering Software Application including computer aided drafting, process modeling and calculations programs
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry
- Prior internship or co-op experience in Electrical Engineering or related field
