About the Role & Program:

Disney Entertainment’s Research, Insights & Analytics (RIA) division serves as a center of excellence consisting of more than 100+ world-class researchers measuring all aspects of media consumption across a wide range of networks, digital properties and SVOD services to guide The Walt Disney Company.

This internship will support the Marketplace & Portfolio Insights team within the Research, Insights & Analytics division. The Marketplace & Portfolio Insights team serves as the research lead for the Disney Platform Distribution organization.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from January 2026-June 2026.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help guide the global monetization of The Walt Disney Company content by providing portfolio-wide reporting, content-specific performance analysis, proprietary consumer insights, and broad marketplace intelligence. You will take part in work that generates prescriptive insights in the service of global TV and streaming content sales with the goal of maximizing third-party licensing revenue for TWDC. You will also get exposure to the Content Licensing Strategy group that focuses on all aspects of content licensing, deal analysis, and global rights management.

  • Use Nielsen software and proprietary internal tools to compile audience data for programs on streaming and linear, including original and licensed content rankers and audience composition

  • Collect, analyze and communicate data to internal stakeholders to gauge the performance of Disney-produced and Disney-licensed content across markets and platforms to support licensing and strategic planning

  • Provide cadenced and ad hoc reporting for domestic and international streaming, broadcast and cable linear licensing, media networks, and content sales strategy

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong interest in data analysis, media math, entertainment viewership trends, television content, and the media landscape

  • Acumen in working with numbers and storytelling with data

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication that caters to a target audience’s point of view with actionable insights

  • Experience working in collaborative environments and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once

  • Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings

  • Willingness to be flexible and eager to learn new software

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • High attention to detail, natural curiosity, proactive nature

  • Aptitude for creative problem solving and strategic thinking

  • Resourceful, optimistic attitude to tackle challenges with enthusiasm and growth mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Nielsen, Looker, Tableau, SharePoint, or related platform

  • Familiarity with process automation tools, AI productivity tools (Copilot)

  • Previous internship experience in a related industry

Education:

  • Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Business Analytics, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Business Operations, Finance, Sociology, or related major preferred

Required Materials:

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:

  • This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from January 2026-June 2026.

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.

  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area.

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
