Your Opportunity 

We’re looking for interns for our Fall 2025 internship program! As an Intern for the Water Services Group (H20) Group, you can expect to carry out a variety of different tasks related to water supply, wastewater and water resource management. Every day will allow you to work on an interesting project, while expanding your knowledge as you gain field and office experience in many disciplines. 
 

Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Drafting, computer modeling, data entry, assistance with preparation of construction plans and specifications, and communicating with clients.  
  • Serving our customers by completing indirect tasks such as transporting equipment/tools between job sites, running samples to the appropriate laboratory, or delivering vehicles/equipment for maintenance and general office assistance. 
  • Understand and operate mathematical hydraulic modeling software tools. 
  • Assist in the preparation of infrastructure master plans, design concept plans, hydraulic calculations and present information for quality review. 
  • Undertake as needed field work, including water quality sampling, surveying and other field reconnaissance. 
  • Coordinate with engineers, technical staff and/or multidisciplinary team members to ensure that the project's needs are met in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required.

Your Capabilities and Credentials 

  • Sound understanding of water and or environmental related principles and engineering concepts, including related hydraulics and hydrologic principles and concepts. 
  • The ability to effectively communicate ideas and opinions. 
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, including HydroCAD, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and GIS 
  • Relevant office or field experience is a plus.  Examples: Construction Surveying, Field Surveying, Field Sampling, Drafting. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Education and Experience 

Currently pursuing or graduated with a minimum of a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. 
Relevant internships and work experience during school will be considered. 
Valid driver’s license. 

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Candidate must be willing and have the ability to travel, and on occasion, spend time working away from home office for extended periods of time.
