Who will you work for?
This internship will be on the Calc team. We are part of the cornerstone of trading system which responsible for the major complex mathematical modeling behind a wide range of asset classes (Money Market, Rates, Credit, ETF, FX, Equity and Derivatives). We maintain the firm’s core calculation libraries and calculation servers that power the firms trading platforms and market data offerings by providing pricing, valuation, and risk measures of traded instruments or trading positions. We also power the interest rate curve published on platform using curve fitting for interest rate derivatives like interest rate swaps with a variety of bootstrap and interpolation methods. This is a high performance and mission critical fixed income analytics libraries. We are also fully integrated into the entire trading cycle and provide frontline support for analytics related production issues and inquiries daily.
What do you need to succeed?
- Excellent foundations on mathematic, quantitative and analytical skills.
- Passion for C++ development.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and modern C++ and Python techniques.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Interested in learning real life financial market and technology.
- Basic knowledge about curve fitting and interest rate derivatives will be preferred.

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $35-$75 hourly based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
