Conroe, Texas Summer 2026 EHS Internship Program

Huntsman is now searching for an EHS intern located at our Conroe, TX manufacturing site. This internship is for Summer 2026

Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. This internship runs from May to August – dependent on the school calendar. The goal of the Huntsman intern program is to provide a structured experience that equips interns with the skills and exposure needed for a successful career. This internship will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team and offer hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, safety program development, and chemical manufacturing operations.  

As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern, you will:

  • Assist in the review and development of EHS policies and procedures under the guidance of site personnel.
  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews and help drive changes to closure.
  • Develop, audit, and update site EHS electronic training programs.
  • Conduct routine EHS inspections of plant and laboratory operations.
  • Learn and perform personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments.
  • Support hazardous waste documentation and tracking activities.
  • Review and accurately record data in the compliance management system.
  • Assist with environmental sampling and monitoring requirements.
  • Maintain document management systems, including filling and record keeping.
  • Collaborate with operations to execute corporate audit actions, process safety audit actions, and process hazard analysis actions.
  • Analyze the site emergency action plan and propose enhancements.
  • Support Zero Harm initiatives and contribute to risk assessments, EHS-related inspections, and database updates.
  • Gain exposure to specialized EHS skills and practices within a chemical manufacturing environment.

What are we looking for in the ideal Candidate?

  • Full time college student at the Junior or Senior level by the end of Spring 2026
  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Chemistry, or Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering.
  • Must have 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, good planning and organizational skills and persistence.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment.
