The internship is designed to introduce interns to the insurance industry while building a strong foundation in data analysis and technical problem-solving to support Athene’s systems and business decisions. Interns will work alongside the actuarial team on projects that inform pricing, valuation, risk management, and other initiatives central to the company’s objectives.

Who We’re Looking For
Qualified candidates must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2026 term.

Internship Details:
• Program runs from mid-May to early August
• Based at our West Des Moines office (7700 Mills Civic Parkway)
• Interviews and hiring decisions will be completed by mid-November (some as early as late September)
Accountabilities:
- Assist the team in gathering information and testing new system changes
- Responsible for assisting full time staff with various initiatives within the actuarial and information technology departments
- Promote and build efficiencies and process improvements for application related activities
- Provide strong documentation over processes and data analysis performed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Pursuit of four-year degree in Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or other related field required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines
- Experience with Excel, Visual Basic, SAS, SQL, Python, R, or Tableau is preferred
