The Instructional Designer is responsible for supporting GM Financial's learning needs across Dealer Services and Loan Services. This individual will determine the best instructional strategies for training design, development, and delivery and carry out those strategies. This person will be responsible for internal department coordination to ensure consistency in creating training materials and assisting with managing the Learning Management System.

Compensation: Competitive pay
Work Life Balance: Flexible hybrid work environment, 2-days a week in office
- Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design, Video Design, Training and Development, Education, Communications, Instructional Design or a related field with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
- Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA.
- Junior or Senior classification preferred.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Articulate 360, or Vyond preferred.
- Prior experience in planning, managing, developing and deploying online and/or instructor-led training preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.
- Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.
- Previous internships are considered a plus.
- Design, develop, maintain, and deploy interactive and engaging online and/or instructor-led training.
- Attend project meetings and work with business subject matter experts to create objectives and project deliverables.
- Stay current on instructional design methodologies and technology and attend continuing education courses as directed by the manager.
- Use appropriate software and tools to develop a variety of training deliverables utilizing design processes and timelines implemented by the manager.
